Petra was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. She has lived in the US since 1991 after meeting her husband John at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach. Her background in fashion brought her to South Beach back in the early nineties. When her son Thor was born, she did a 180° and spent 15 years in Financial Services. Combining her first love of design with her business experience she became the first Furniture Consultant at IKEA Tampa, where she met Darcie when she helped her design her office on Anna Maria Island.
After living on a sailboat for 6.5 years John and Petra are now back on land and are busy gardening. A former 365/24/7 Sports Family – they still follow Thor and sports. After playing college football in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he’s now a PE Teacher plus coaches’ football and weightlifting at Sarasota HS. Petra enjoys visiting contemporary art exhibitions, walking the beach, cooking, traveling and spending time with their 2 gorgeous granddaughters. Petra is thrilled to be part of Team Duncan and feels it’s a dream to spend every day on the most beautiful Anna Maria Island!
