AMI Dos and Don’ts
Sugar white sand along 7 miles of beach! That is Anna Maria Island. There are a few Florida State laws, county and city rules and regulations to beach rules and regulations in place for the safety of beach goers and protection of wildlife, park land, and environment.
Have the best vacation ever but please keep these in mind!
Beach Rules
Leave your footprints and take only memories!
- No consumption or possession of alcohol
- No glass
- No assembly without permit
- No pets except service animals
- No vehicles, golf carts or bicycles except wheelchairs
- No disturbing or feeding wildlife
- No removal of natural resources
- No littering
- No grills or fires
- No fireworks
- No camping
- No landing or launching watercraft except surfboards, sailboats, catamarans, kayaks
- No throwing games or propelled objects
Turtle Season May 1 – October 31
- No lights, unattended chairs and cabanas, screens, umbrellas, between sunset and sunrise
- No flash photography
- Do not approach turtles or nests
- Leave nests and signs undisturbed
Parking
- Park where allowed
- Look for No Parking Signs
- No overnight beach parking
- Park in the driving directions
- Tires off the asphalt
- Golf carts need regular parking spots
- RVs, motorcycles, trailers might need approval
